libv8-dev software package provides V8 JavaScript engine - development files for latest branch, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libv8-dev
libv8-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libv8-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libv8-dev *
You will get with libv8-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
